Club Jenna Joins Playboy Catalogue of Properties
CHICAGO, IL — What once was an empire built on softcore sex appeal now embraces a wide array of content types under a variety of brand names. As of today, that empire has now grown to include the current queen of the video sex scene, Jenna Jameson’s world renowned Club Jenna.Although details about the acquisition are not yet available, both Jameson and her husband, Club Jenna Inc. president Jay Grdina have signed personal service agreements with Playboy Entertainment Group and, according to Jameson, are “pleased to be part of the Playboy family and look forward to the potential that this brings to the table.”
According to Playboy chair and chief executive officer Christie Hefner, the company new a good thing when it saw it. “As a best-selling author, a personality whose nme is among the most-searched on the internet and the founder of a profitable business, Jenna is a uniquely successful talent.”
That talent has manifested itself into what Hefner describes as “a very attractive business,” which the international multimedia entertainment giant hopes will prove to be “both financially accretive and strategically complimentary as we continue to execute our multi-platform strategy.”
Hefner indicates that Playboy plans to expand its online presence while simultaneously diversifying in the American television market. The purchase of Club Jenna, Inc. brings an archive of content, a DVD distribution deal, web sites, and a well-respected video production company along with its star appeal name.
For its money, Club Jenna is well aware of the good things that an association with the bunny can provide it. “With the resources now available to us,” Grdina assures fans, “we can bring Club Jenna to a level unprecedented in sophisticated entertainment.”
