While it’s known that sex workers often meet potential partners who cannot handle their career choice or receive inappropriate messages, Cherie was surprised that the biggest issue is getting booted from dating apps. Cherie interviewed fellow sex workers who faced this discrimination firsthand, including Shiza Panda, Kristopher Koffin, and April Kelly, who discussed how easily they get banned.

Another point Cherie makes is how there are accounts that impersonate sex workers and porn stars that manage to not only stay active, but scam fans out of money. While there are apps like the high-end Raya which caters to social media influencers or sex-work-friendly Grindr and FetLife, Cherie ponders what options there are for those looking for a relationship.
