The award-winning Cherie DeVille is a front line soldier against the ‘war on porn’ and she takes the opportunities afforded to her to speak out. A regular contributor to The Daily Beast, Cherie does what few dare to do – call out a major pop star’s insults to the industry she loves.

In “Billie Eilish Thinks My Vagina Looks ‘Fucking Crazy’”, Cherie responds to comments made by Billie in a recent interview. As she’s speaking to Howard Stern, Billie speaks to a porn ‘addiction’ and how vaginas all look the same in porn. Cherie, who definitely has more knowledge to this, explains how porn shows a variety of different vulvas, and how labiaplasty is not a common thing in the industry. Cherie also has a lot of thoughts on Billie’s admission that she’s been watching porn since the age of 11, pointing out that porn is not meant for minors and how it should not be used as sex education. Cherie sympathizes with Billie at some points, but she doesn’t want porn blamed for absent parenting.

“I love this industry, and whenever someone attacks it, I feel the need to speak out,” Cherie commented. “While Billie Eilish has been put in situations that no one should ever have to experience, blaming porn is short-sighted, and I think that as a performer, I have the obligation to defend the industry when necessary.”
