CCBill to Acquire WTS
TEMPE, Ariz. – Global e-commerce billing solutions provider CCBill has signed an agreement to acquire ACH processor WTS.
ACH, or Automated Clearing House, companies process transactions including checks, debit cards and direct-debit payments in the U.S.
“As market behaviors and banking practices continue to evolve, ACH transactions have remained a viable and popular choice within e-commerce,” said CCBill Chief Operating Officer Jake Powers. “We remain committed to providing this option for our merchants and are excited to move forward with plans to help the many merchants being served by WTS.”
Existing WTS merchants can continue to work with WTS as usual, until otherwise notified, according to Gary Jackson, managing vice president of sales and internet markets for CCBill.
“We understand news like this can sometimes be trying on the affected merchants,” Jackson said. “We appreciate the success many of them have had with ACH transactions and are hopeful the new opportunities a change like this represent can inspire patience as the process progresses.”
