CCBill Support AIDS/LifeCycle 2014 Ride
TEMPE, Ariz. – Again this year, CCBill will join the fight against HIV/AIDS by tendering a donation to the annual AIDS/LifeCycle Ride to End AIDS. The global e-commerce solutions provider will sponsor gay community member and adult industry veteran Morgan Sommer’s participation in the event.
“It is our privilege and honor to make this contribution for Morgan’s participation, and in doing so, also assist in the advancement of the greater cause as a whole,” said Gary Jackson, managing vice president of sales and internet markets for CCBill. “AIDS continues to have a major impact on the nation and world, and this event continues to play an important role in increasing public awareness about HIV/AIDS, as well as providing direct help for those who need it most.
“We are humbled by Morgan’s dedication to this ride and cause,” Jackson continued. “We are cheering on he and his teammates, and we encourage others to join in offering their support.”
AIDS/LifeCycle 2014 is a 545-mile bicycle ride between San Francisco and Los Angeles, taking place between June 1-7. This year’s event will be the fourth in which Sommer has participated, and also the fourth one in which CCBill has supported his effort. Donations directly affect the lives of people living with HIV/AIDS and are used to provide essential medical treatment and education services to the communities served by the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center, the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and many smaller organizations around the U.S.
“This event is truly amazing,” said Sommer, president of Cybersocket. “It brings people together from all walks of life with a common goal of helping others and in an atmosphere of fitness, fun and cooperation. Donations go directly to help people who need and cannot afford treatment for AIDS/HIV.
“Many members of our industry supported me in this, and I am immensely grateful,” he continued. “Our industry community is filled with good-hearted and generous people. I like to think about the people who have demonstrated their support while I am pedaling up hour-long climbs; it is incredibly motivating. CCBill and others help to keep me inspired to continue doing the training and finish this year’s ride.”
