CCBill Discounts Processing Fees, Offers Visa Rebate
YNOT – As part of an effort to help new e-commerce operations thrive in a challenging marketplace, CCBill is offering a discount of up to 10 percent off its normal processing fees to new accounts opened by Dec. 31. The discount, which applies to the first six months of payment processing services, is available to new accounts based in the U.S. or Canada.
In addition, so-called “high-risk” merchants who choose to offer Visa as a payment option are eligible for a rebate of the initial registration fee Visa requires.
“We understand it can be difficult for merchants to launch new businesses and try out new online models. They have a lot on their plates, and selecting a reliable payment processor, while important, can seem like a big investment,” said Gary Jackson, managing vice president of sales and internet markets for the Tempe, Ariz.-based global e-commerce solutions provider. “Our new initiative is aimed at providing these merchants with a processing service that will consistently deliver payouts and meet their needs, while at the same time providing a bit of a cost break as they embark on new endeavors.”
One of the primary payment processors for the adult entertainment industry since 1998, CCBill’s clients currently number more than 30,000 websites worldwide, according to brand manager Jason Kirk. He also said the Visa rebate is a particularly beneficial offer, considering the number of online consumers who pay for their purchases with a Visa card.
“More than 60 percent of all online transactions are running on the Visa network,” Kirk said. “Not surprisingly, new U.S. merchants want to be able to offer Visa as a payment option to their consumers. By rebating the initial registration fee for new Visa accounts, we are removing what at times can be a significant obstacle for these new merchants.”
