CCBill Case Study: Flirt4Free
TEMPE, Ariz. – Businesses offering new products need hard data to prove or disprove their hypotheses about usefulness and potential uptake. The classic mantra “test, retest and test again” remains good advice. Thankfully, in the Digital Age it’s much easier than in generations past to put good advice into action.
Internet payment services provider CCBill is a firm believer in the product-testing adage. As part of its ongoing analysis of a new platform, Merchant Connect, the company partnered with one of the world’s largest live-cam networks to perform testing on a large scale. The results proved CCBill’s hypothesis: Clients who employ the new system increase affiliate reach.
The company evaluating the product, Flirt4Free, was delighted to discover how well the system meets F4F’s needs.
“We wanted a solution that would be easy to install and one that would provide a frictionless and secure experience for the end-user,” said Jeff Wilson, affiliate department manager. “Due to the Merchant Connect portal’s one-click functionalities for cross-sales, we have been able to [attract] several new affiliates who demanded a frictionless payment experience. Once integrated, they were pleased with the results.”
Merchant Connect employs an easy-to-use online interface to open more revenue opportunities through relationship-based sales tools. Essentially, merchants use the system to find other businesses with which they would like to work, either through pay-per-sale arrangements or revenue-sharing programs. As a Merchant Connect participant, Flirt4Free was able to grow its business by adding more programs and sites each month, Wilson said.
“It fits nicely with both our strategy to provide quality customer experiences and our efforts to build thoughtful and effective integrations with affiliates to maximize revenues,” he noted.
Merchant Connect is available to any CCBill merchant from within the admin portal. Flirt4Free is a key participant in Merchant Connect, offering an advanced program other merchants can join.
“Driving more revenues is always a key goal for any business,” said Gary Jackson, CCBill’s vice president of sales and internet markets. “With that in mind, we wanted Merchant Connect to offer businesses a simple way to expand sales through legal cross-sales opportunities. Once merchants join a program, we will track the sales, manage the traffic and settle the payments, allowing the merchants to diversify their product offerings and reach additional consumers.”
