Casca Akashova Steps into Real Life ‘Whisker Wars’ at Nashville Wildlife Benefit
Award-winning adult film star Casca Akashova amazed contestants and club patrons with her surprise appearance at a Nashville, Tennessee beard and moustache competition this month.
The glamorous blonde stunner, who was in town to meet with publishers about her graphic novel project, decided to drop in on the July 10 event when she learned it was a benefit for the Tennessee Wildlife Federation.
Held at popular local club Mercy Lounge, located in a building on Music City’s historic Cannery Row, the 13-category facial hair tournament was dubbed “Showdown at the Southern Gates” by its organizers, the Metropolitan Pogonotrophy Society.
“I’m very passionate about environmental issues and wildlife conservation, but the idea of attending a beard contest also appealed to me because, just like several precious species in the Volunteer State and across this country, real men seem to be endangered too,” Akashova remarked. “I came out to show my support for both.”
Soon Akashova found that she had walked into a competition right out of the TV series “Whisker Wars,” with a group of competitive beardsmen going head-to-head — and bristle-to-bristle — for charity.
Unsurprisingly, soon after the busty star made her way into the venue, the focus of attention in the room began to shift from the contest to her jaw-dropping, gravity-defying outfit. The bemused Akashova happily posed for selfies with the bewhiskered attendees and shared pics from the event on her Twitter account.
“Every man there was a perfect gentleman,” said Akashova. “I ended up participating in three silent auctions, made some new friends, and had a wonderful time in support of a great cause.”
