Casca Akashova chats with undefeated boxer Tyler “Short Fuse” Tomlin ahead of his first televised fight in her role as guest co-host of the LAST CALL Podcast.

The LAST CALL show has been on the air in some fashion for over 13 years, interviewing boxers, MMA fighters, sports reporters, and providing coverage of MMA and boxing events.

In one of her best interviews to date, the adult film star and international Playboy model and the undefeated Prospect of the Year candidate discuss boxing, which Boxing Hall of Famers he wants to meet, building his brand, the work leading up to this fight, and which celebrities he and his team are targeting to work with down the road.

The SHOBOX: The New Generation telecast opener, which airs June 10 on Showtime Network, during Boxing Hall of Fame weekend, will feature the six-time Tennessee Golden Gloves champion (13-0, 9 KOs) squarihng off against Chann Thonson (10-0, 7 KOs) in an eight-round lightweight bout.

Tomlin, 22, hails from the same hometown as former super middleweight world champion Caleb Plant and has cultivated a passionate fanbase in Ashland City, Tenn. Tomlin began boxing at age nine and was a highly decorated amateur, finishing 65-15 and winning bronze at the 2015 Junior Olympics before turning pro. He is trained by his father, Darryl Tomlin, at the Team Tomlin Gym, which was built five years ago on the family’s home estate.

“It was a pleasure interviewing Tyler,” Akashova said. “He is charismatic with a good head on his shoulders. Besides being a good fighter, I appreciate that he understands life at a young age in regards to his career and learning how to navigate the business. That’s impressive. I look forward to watching his career grow and seeing what comes from his camp.”
