Cams.com Converts to New Token System
CAMPBELL, Calif. – Award-winning live broadcast site Cams.com has converted its payment system from dollars to tokens. According to a company spokesperson, the new token system gives models and their fans an easier-to-manage means of tracking expenditures and receipts in a global economy.
Tokens are worth 10 cents each and are stored in members’ virtual wallets for on-demand use. International currency conversion is accomplished seamlessly, leaving everyone using the same platform-standardized monetary unit.
“Since Cams.com is a global community, using tokens standardizes the payment so that everyone pays the same number of tokens,” said Model Manager Steve Hamilton. “Members and models are equally enthusiastic about the change since one of our most popular features is Buzzmode, in which a member can buzz a model’s toy for a minimum of one token.”
Exclusive Cams.com model Sophia Locke said she is particularly excited about the change.
“Models love tokens because it feels more fun — almost like a game,” she said.
The token system also enables Cams.com to distribute special rewards and incentives more easily and frequently.
Current members with real-world currency already in their virtual wallets will find their balance automatically converted the next time they log in. They will encounter no delays and may enjoy their favorite cam shows right away.
