#Cammunity’s ‘You Laugh, You Lose’ Will Test Participants’ Comedy Chops
Following two days of serious discussion, networking and deal making, attendees of the #Cammunity model summit will have the opportunity to test their ability to make people laugh – and their own ability to resist laughing – through a hilarious game of “You Laugh, You Lose.”
The comedic competition will take place on August 6 at 4pm, inside Great Room 1 at the #Cammunity venue hotel, the W Hollywood Hotel.
For those unfamiliar with the game, the premise is quite simple: Competing in pairs, players take turns telling jokes and acting ridiculous in attempt to make their opponent laugh. The player who laughs the least wins, moving on to the next round. (To see an example of the game in action, check out this video.)
“There are so many creative, talented, funny people coming together for #Cammunity that I think it’s going to be a real challenge for competitors to avoid laughing during these matchups,” said Connor Young, YNOT CEO and co-owner. “Luckily for those of us in the audience, we’re under no obligation to maintain a straight face.”
The competition will be hosted by CK, videographer for LittleRedBunny, and judged by YNOT co-owner Jay Kopita. The competition will be handled “bracket style,” with winners advancing in a single-elimination tournament. Prizes will be supplied by sponsors Segpay and Hot Octopuss. Kopita said that a couple of openings are still available for models attending #Cammunity — to get on the list, please contact jay@ynot.com.
Young emphasized that while the show’s organizers want contestants to have fun, they also want to keep the humor within the spirit of the #Cammunity event.
“Jokes making fun of any individual or group of people can result in immediate disqualification, as can jokes based on ethnicity, sexual orientation, someone’s physical appearance, disabilities or political/religious affiliations,” Young said. “That’s just not what #Cammunity is about, so there’s no place for it in our version of You Laugh, You Lose.”
The rest of the simple, straightforward rules of the game are detailed on the #Cammunity website.
