Camgirls Band Together to Support Breast Cancer Survivors
LOS ANGELES – Breasts are one of a webcam model’s most obvious assets. Since October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the U.S., a group of webcam performers has banded together not only to raise awareness, but also to raise funds that will be used to support breast cancer survivors during and after treatment.
Calling themselves Camgirls Against Cancer, the 24 young women will donate 50 percent of tips they receive during special broadcasts between Oct. 13 and 19.
“I am touched that 24 cam models have promised to dedicate their time for this great cause,” organizer and webcam model Aedan Rayne said. “We hope to raise $10,000 collectively for charity, and I think we have a good chance of making our goal. Each model will offer shows during the times specified on my website and will donate 50 percent of tips earned. Proof of donations will be posted during the first week of November.”
All funds raised will be donated to Living Beyond Breast Cancer, an organization committed to connecting breast cancer survivors and their families with trusted information and legal, emotional, financial and medical support. Founded in 1991, the national nonprofit organization located near Philadelphia devotes more than 80 percent of its income to assisting women with treatment, recovery and survival after a breast cancer diagnosis.
