“Transitioning” seems to be one of those words our culture has really taken to as of late. In some instances, it really does best describe a situation. In others, well, like any buzzword, it can get co-opted for a multitude of situations.

In the adult business, not many stars transition from one area to another. Men and women in porn, cam and other adult work often find their niche and stay with it, growing their brand, websites and fan base. But when an adult performer does truly “shake the snow globe” of their career and start anew, some amazing things can happen.

Lindsey Leigh recently transitioned from live fetish performances to nude cam shows – and she seems to be doing better than ever!

Building her reputation across fetish portals for the past nine years, Leigh told YNOT that her confidence is building by leaps and bounds via her forays into cam. She uses another modern buzzword – empowering — in all sincerity to describe how these changes feel.

Known for cuckolding, CBT (cock and ball torture), foot worship, ballbusting and many more fetish pursuits, Leigh actually feared a fan backlash as her career shifted gears. Leigh took some time out to tell YNOT all about her her career transition — and what she’s learned so far. 

YNOT: You said you had some trepidation moving from fetish work to nude cam work. Can you explain what that was exactly?

Lindsey Leigh: I love what I do. I am trying to be relevant and connected with my fans, who are incredibly important to me. But with anything new, there is always some concern about how things might be accepted.

It’s normal, I realize, to wonder if people who knew me from one thing exclusively would follow me to another. And these days, people have so many places to go for content and scenes, so even without doing much a performer can lose viewers. But I’ve been very lucky with the response so far. There might have been fear on my part at first, but now I feel lots of excitement in accomplishing this goal and seeing how wonderfully people are reacting to the changes.

What do you have to do to differently now in your business being nude on cam as opposed to the fetish work you previously did? Or, from a business standpoint, is there not much of a difference?

I am creative in both cam and custom clips, so in this regard my business really has not changed. Cam gives me a platform to connect with fans on a more personal level though, so there is that difference… and that’s a difference I really like. I am in a great place now — I get to be more of myself and explore my sexuality, and my fans certainly help me do that.

In your fetish scenes you covered a wide variety of interests. Do you have any one thing that was a particular favorite?

I’ve done pretty mean girl and femdom in my past fetish work, while always being ready for any challenge. With the cam work, I now feel the very best of challenges. I am ready to introduce the woman that is me now, not the younger me from ten years ago. Again, it’s all incredibly exciting, as all my work has always been for me.

Will you be going back and forth between fetish work and nude cam work — the best of the both worlds of Lindsey, so to speak?

Yes, while I am making more sales, increasing my cam client base, creating custom clips and seeing sales ranging from my femdom work to my solo female, I only want to expand my horizons.
