Burglars Go Wild on Girls Gone Wild Tour Bus
CLAY COUNTY, FL — Although company founder Joe Francis may be a free man once again, the suffering that he and his entertainment empire must endure seems never ending. The latest: a Girls Gone Wild bus trashed and burglarized. According to members of the crew who had been sleeping soundly aboard the tour bus, a recent stop at a Clay County bar turned into far more than hopefully legal girls flashing their tits and drinking too much. Instead, while parked outside the Crazy Horse Saloon this past weekend during a promotional outing, someone more interested in lifting wallets than t-shirts paid a visit.
Said to be missing is more than $1,300 in cash, as well as the very security surveillance equipment that might have led investigators to the thief’s identity.
“They were actually sleeping inside the van,” Clay County Sheriff’s Office Detective Michael Connors explained. “When one woke up about 9:00 am, they realized the items were missing.”
Although clothing had been strewn throughout the bus and its contents trashed, Connors says “At this time, we have no suspect leads. We did get one fingerprint, which we are waiting on that to come back.”
