TAMPA, FL — British teenager Lara Jade Coton is suing TVX Films for its unauthorized and uncompensated use of a self-portrait that she had on her website. TVX used a lightly-doctored-in-Photoshop version of Coton’s image as the cover and main disc image for the re-release of the 1982 film Body Magic. The film stars Lili Marlene, Penny Arcade, Joey Silvera, and others.

The photo was taken by Coton when she was a minor and in the copyright suit that she filed yesterday, the TVX cover implies that she’s in the porn industry and the film’s plot details the doings of a woman named “Laura”.

While TVX has replaced the cover, Coton’s image remains printed on the discs still sold by some online retailers.
