Bonnie Rotten, Fantasy Sports Collide
SANTA MONICA, Calif. – Multiple award-winner Bonnie Rotten, one of the darlings of hardcore adult entertainment, has signed an endorsement deal with fantasy-sports platform Draftster. The company believes the deal is the first to bring together a fantasy sports operation and an adult entertainer.
“We are thrilled to be working with Bonnie,” Chief Executive Officer David Joseph said. “She has an enormous following and is a big fan of fantasy sports. She is a very active and savvy player on Draftster.com, and this is a fresh, new way for her to interact with her fans on an intimate level while bolstering the awareness of Draftster.”
Over the past year, all four major U.S. sports leagues have signed sponsorship deals with daily fantasy websites through players, teams or the leagues themselves. Joseph said other celebrities, including adult performers, represent a natural progression of the process.
He also said Draftster is on track to award more than $2 million in cash prizes during 2015 and is focusing on endorsement deals like the one with Rotten in order to boost participant numbers.
Rotten will play a big role in increasing players at Draftster, both she and Joseph said. The Draftster poster girl has put together a special campaign, Bonnie Rotten’s Baseball Derby, and hopes to entice her fans to join the fun.
“I’m very excited about joining the Draftster family,” Rotten said. “Having been a big Dodgers fan, I can’t wait for this promotion to begin and meet and greet with fellow sports fans.
“I have been actively playing on Draftster.com for some time now and being given the opportunity to publicly endorse the platform and be an active part of the team is a dream come true,” she added.
Beginning June 24, the first 2,500 contestants who secure a spot in the online event will receive a free all-access membership pass to Brazzers.com. On July 2, derby participants may begin drafting and managing fantasy teams with the goal not only of claiming bragging rights, but also of winning the ultimate prize: an all-expenses-paid trip to Los Angeles and a baseball-game date with Rotten.
“There has always been an unspoken link between these two industries (porn and sports),” Joseph said. “We wanted to take a progressive approach and make the connection. Men love women, sports and money, and Draftster embraces this by giving our players all three.” commented Joseph.
Affiliates may get in on the Draftster action by signing up for the platform’s partner program, which pays an initial commission of 50-percent of each new member’s fee. After that, each referral generates recurring income based on a sliding scale of 25-35 percent, depending on revenue generated.
