WASHINGTON, DC — Danilo Simoes Croce is a Sao Paulo man looking at the possibility of five years in prison and $150,000 in fines if the U.S. Postal Inspection Service finds that he has violated obscenity codes. The 42-year-old Croce was arrested in Orlando, FL on September 7th and charged with conspiring to distribute obscene matters through his corporation, Lex Multimedia, according to both the Department of Justice and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
The two government agencies contend that Croce’s websites offered obscene videos for download or delivery into the United States and featured acts of fisting, defecation, urination, vomiting, bukkake, and more traditional sexual activities.
Hosted on servers located in Texas, site visitors were able to order videos and receive them via U.S. Postal Service and other common carriers from a mailing location in Orlando, FL.
“The investigative efforts in this case not only fully endorse the Postal Inspection Service’s commitment to the Attorney General’s initiative against hardcore pornography,” U.S. Postal Inspection Service in Miami’s inspector-in-charge Henry Gutierrez says,” it sends a loud message to those involved that they operate at enormous risk of apprehension.”
