Black Friday Blues: Women Prefer Shopping To Sex on Occasion
CYBERSPACE — While shoppers in this country may be raking in the bargains, four out of 10 UK women surveyed say that they enjoyed shopping more than getting laid. More than half of those who have been married for 20 years or more would pass on sex in favor of shopping for the rest of their lives without missing it.On the upside, 72-percent of the Brit women said they still think their spouse is hot, giving them scores of at least seven out of 10 on the scale of sexual appeal.
Relationship psychologist Anjula Mutanda said this First magazine survey was something to worry about.
“Considering that sex is a healthy part of a loving relationship and is an important way of physically and psychologically connecting with your partner, something is clearly wrong. Having no sex at all creates distance and resentment. A once loving and tactile relationship becomes the equivalent of living with your brother or sister,” Mutanda said.
The survey also found that 37-percent of women had sex with their husbands once or twice a week. A little over a third of the women surveyed said they were unhappy with the amount of sex they had.
