Bing, Microsoft, Google Reps to Address ODS Attendees
YNOT – Representatives of the online dating industry will have the opportunity to network with and learn from executives from some of the largest dating, search and internet traffic companies in the world when the Online Dating Summit takes place in Miami in January.
According to a spokesman for the summit, Match.com, Plenty of Fish, Mate1 and eHarmony will take part in the panels discussions and seminars portion of the event, called ODS Talks.
“These people offer a tremendous range of expertise,” said ODS organizer Andreas Bischoff. “They will be joined by industry leaders from around the globe. Dating [chief executive officers] from Australia, the United Kingdom, Austria, Spain, Germany, Canada, Turkey, Latvia, the Netherlands and Russia — to name a few — will truly enhance the international character of the conference.”
Among those scheduled to address attendees are John Ray, the head of dating, genealogy and home service for Google, who will speak on an “Expert-to-Expert” panel; Elizabeth Wasserman, co-founder and CEO of Mate1, who will take part in the discussion “Country Insight: the U.S. Dating Market”; Markus Find, CEO of Plenty of Fish, who will sit on the “North America & Mobile” panel; and Jason Dailey, director of Bing evangelism at Microsoft, who will present “The Power of Local Search.”
In addition, Ashley Lewis, director of mobile product management for eHarmony, will participate on the “Expert-to-Expert Mobile” panel; Gloria Diez, chief operating officer for Wamba Europe (parent company of Mamboo), will take part in the discussion “Country Insight: United Kingdom”; Robinne Burrell, director of mobile product and distribution for Match.com, will sit on the “Expert-to-Expert Mobile” panel; and Dave Heysen, founder and CEO of Oasis.com, will discuss “Country Insight: the Australian Dating Market.”
Other panels, presented by Google, Bing and other search and advertising companies, will address the future of search, local search and local opportunities. Panels addressing security and safety for consumers and the industry also are on the schedule.

“A highlight is the ‘State of the Online Dating Industry,’ which will be hosted by CEOs from around the world — global perspective and a must for every online dating entrepreneur,” Bischoff said.
“The schedule is diverse and caters to a wide range of interests,” he added. “The in-depth country panels are a must if you want to learn more about the industry in North America, the United Kingdom or Australia. Expert-to-expert panels concerning the mobile ecosystem are chaired by absolute industry winners.”
