Bianca Baker Claims Bank of America Froze Her Account, Funds
The past couple days seem to have been very stressful for Bianca Baker, who has been dealing with banking issues via money giant, Bank of America.
On May 15, she tweeted:
“IF YOU ARE A CAMGIRL/CLIP MAKER AND HAVE BANK OF AMERICA GET THE FUCK OUT. MY ACCOUNT HAS BEEN FROZEN FOR 48 HOURS BECAUSE OF MY INCOME BEING ‘SUSPICIOUS’ THIS HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE. PLEASE RT. I DO NOT WANT ANY CHICK GOING THROUGH THIS. HAVING OVER 10K FROZEN IS FUCKING SCARY.”

Baker also shared:
“Ive also had this account since 2007. Im being fucking locked out due to having an amazing income. I pay my taxes and they are not fucking cheap. This is fucking ridiculous.”

She continued, rejecting a commonly held hypothesis about bank behavior and dollar amounts that automatically trigger responses from banks — because really, everything with banking is basically a hypothetical theory that has no rhyme or reason behind it:
“I’ve made over 8k for 3 years straight. Some months more. this is not because I made 10k and it triggered something. Read TOS terms because morality clauses are written very carefully. Take them to a lawyer. Get opinions and know your information. I would not wish this on any1”

Many conversations sprang up as a result of Baker sharing her situation, including discussion of what banks were – again, hypothetically – safe and secure.
Here Baker shares that she’s had her lawyer help her find a bank that’s acceptable.
thanks! I have had my lawyer help me find a bank that is safe once they hopefully unfreeze it.

Citibank was the reported recommendation, however some questioned this. Many people offered up Citibank horror stories, as well as their own ideas for safe banking.
Sadly though, there is anecdotal evidence of basically every large bank having issues – from refusing to take deposits from certain vendors (read: model and performer payouts from cam or clips sites) to literally emptying a person’s bank account, issuing a check for the funds and closing the account with no warning.

Read threads connected to any one of these tweets for more stories than I care to count, all of which will make your hair curl with the awful anxiety and discrimination of it all.
In the end, Baker’s money was released less two thousand dollars, which will hopefully be available to her soon. It seems that she has a plan for moving on with her business, but the question remains: Does that even matter?
Sadly, probably not, as this issue remains untenable, with no viable solution on hand.
I have 2k still frozen as of yesterday. My lawyer was working really hard to get it transferred out so hopefully later today.
