BBW Dating Brand is a First for DatingGold
YNOT – Adult dating affiliate program DatingGold has departed from its usual dating model with the launch of HookupBBW.com, a dating site dedicated to plus-size paramours. The site will see its official debut at BBWFanFest in Las Vegas July 13-15.
Unlike the company’s other brands — including AmateurMatch.com, Untrue.com and XXXDating.com — HookupBBW.com was developed following a marketing test DatingGold ran with a leading affiliate network.
“What stood out to us was the loyalty we saw in the members to the BBW site,” said founder and Chief Executive Officer Allan Henning. “We saw above average conversions and member retention, which lead us to believe the adult dating sector was ready for a dedicated BBW dating brand.”
In April, the company recruited adult industry marketing veterans Sarah Jayne Anderson and Tofu De la Moore. In addition to their affiliate marketing experience, the pair brought expert knowledge of both the adult BBW market and the BBW community to the research and development of HookupBBW.com.
“I was impressed with DatingGold’s commitment to developing a quality BBW product,” Anderson said. “I’ve seen lots of companies miss the mark with their BBW products because they didn’t research well enough to know they needed to address the desires of their surfers with respect rather than ridicule.”
De la Moore, himself a fat admirer or FA, added his view on the importance of having a marketing team familiar with the BBW community.
“It only makes sense to have community insiders behind the curtain,” he said. “Without that element in place, [the project] resembles a bunch of kittens trying to sell you the best dog collars.”
