SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – BasisDx, the makers of the first and only PASS-certified at-home testing kits, has announced that performers and content creators using the Pro13 test kits can now “choose how quickly they receive the test and results.”

“Besides knowing your STI status, getting your results when needed is key,” the company said in a statement released Thursday. “When ordering Pro13 testing kit, they’re shipped out the same day if it is placed by 2pm PST/5pm EST.

“When purchasing your testing kit, you can choose Express or Priority service for returning your samples to the lab,” the company added. “All Pro13 kits are sent to you via USPS Priority Mail, and customers receive them in one to five days (depending on where they’re located). For those who wait until the last minute to test, an Express outbound shipment option is coming soon.”

BasisDx said that for the Express return service, “your test will be shipped via FedEx Standard Overnight and reach the BasisDx the next day; once the lab receives it, you should receive your results in 24 to 48 hours.”

“If you choose Priority Return option, your test will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail, which will take one to five days to reach the lab and another 24 to 48 hours for the results to be processed,” the statement explained. “The price difference is only $29, and well worth it for faster results.”

“Getting to the post office or FedEx is easy, but it’s not always easy to find a PASS-certified lab in your area or get there,” Dr. K added. “With the option to get your results faster by using the Express return option it makes it easier for those who have waited longer than they should to test. We worked out a deal with FedEx and passed the savings on to the customer.”
