Babe’s Cabaret Dancer Drops Charges Against Jay Grdina, Plans Move to Spain
SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Jay Grdina has a lot on his mind these days, what with a high profile porn divorce and the personal and professional drama that comes with it. But thanks to the decision of a Babe’s Cabaret stripper, he has one less thing to worry about now.Amanda Vasquez had previously filed charges against the still technically husband of Jenna Jameson on July 22nd, claiming that he had pulled her hair and pushed her face toward the ground while she danced for him and his friends, including colorful former NBA star Dennis Rodman.
Grdina is co-owner of Babe’s Cabaret, along with Jameson, and has insisted that he is innocent.
The 22-year-old dancer has informed authorities that not only does she no longer work for the nightclub, but, having been told what the criminal investigation process entails, she has no interest in pursuing the matter. Instead of remaining in order to testify against her alleged attacker, Vasquez plans to move to Spain.
The incident comes at a time when Scottsdale City Council members are working to enforce a unanimously passed ordinance making lap dances such as the one Vasquez performed for her boss illegal.
Supporters hope to see the ordinance enforced after a September 12th referendum focusing on Proposition 401, which those within the industry worry will do substantial harm to exotic dance clubs such as Babe’s Cabaret and Skin Cabaret, since it requires that requires dancers to remain at least four feet from patrons at all times.
