AWSummit Announces 2021 Dates, New Co-Owner
MAMAIA, Romania – AWSummit issued a statement today announcing the show’s 2021 dates – and the fact that Roxana Chirila is now CEO and co-owner of the company. The new show dates are June 7-10, 2021 at the Phoenicia Hotel in Mamaia. The company also revealed that the 2021 show “will be the last time AWSummit will be in Mamaia.”
“AWSummit is looking forward to the new normal and getting back to business with helping the industry to network, do business and share knowledge with each other,” the company said in its statement. “2020 has been a crazy year for all of us and some of us have been washing our hands so much that and old stamp from AWSummit in 2018 has started to come back. But AWSummit are looking to the future in a positive way and look forward to 2021 to meet everyone again.”
As for the show’s final time in Mamaia, AWSummit said “you better believe that they are leaving Mamaia in style and will put everything they got into this show to make it the best memory of AWSummit Mamaia, both for your business and your networking.”
AWSummit said it will share more details concerning the plan for the 2021 show in the weeks ahead.
In announcing that Chirila is now the CEO and co-owner of AWSummit, the company said with no show to organize this year, they “had a lot of time to focus on old and new projects.”
“AWMedia has many more projects and services than AWSummit, and some of them are starting to bear fruits and need extra focus,” said Alexandru Gheorghe, owner of AWMedia, adding that this need has led to a small reorganization of the company.
“Roxana was in charge of the successful 2019 show, and did an amazing job preparing for AWSummit 2020,” Gheorghe said. “She also came up with AWMeetup that she executed awesomely. So, with the 2021 show, the last one in Mamaia coming up and then moving the show to Bucharest in 2022, I’m honored to bring Roxana to the owner side of AWSummit.”
Chirila said she’s “looking forward to taking full responsibility of the AWSummit show that has been so important for our Industry for over 7 years.”
“I’m looking forward to lead our last show in Mamaia and to start the progress in moving AWSummit to Bucharest for 2022,” Chiriila added. “I’m very grateful for the trust and confidence Alex is showing in me to manage this project by myself and with my own team. I’m welcoming this partnership with great excitement and can’t wait to show everyone how our plans for 2021 will look.”
