AWE Creates RTA PSA for ASACP
YNOT – The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection has released a public service announcement featuring Adult Webmaster Empire-Lalib Marketing Support Group Program Director Mickey Bojcsik. The PSA is part of ASACP’s effort to promote the responsible dissemination of adult content using the organization’s Restricted to Adults – RTA Website Label. In the video PSA, available on ASACP’s YouTube channel, Bojcsik reminds companies to protect children and their businesses by labeling their websites. The video is the first of its kind to feature one of ASACP’s international sponsors. AWE, an ASACP Platinum Sponsor since 2008, is headquartered in the Seychelles. The company comprises a live-webcam operation reportedly employing more than 600,000 registered amateur video chat hosts and an affiliate program.
The AWE PSA also is the first to feature a leader in the online adult entertainment industry directing a message at others inside the industry. Previous PSAs in the series encouraged parents to enable parental filtering on their home computers in order to prevent their children from viewing age-restricted content. The new campaign began with a print advertisement starring LFP Inc./Hustler President Michael Klein. Bojcsik also will appear in a print ad for RTA, an ASACP spokesperson said.
“AWE’s support of ASACP has been vital to our ability to help protect children online,” ASACP Chief Executive Officer Joan Irvine said. “This has included participating on the ASACP U.S. Advisory Council and helping to set up the European Union Advisory Council. We are incredibly grateful for Mickey and AWE’s very active participation in the ASACP mission of online child protection. It demonstrates their corporate social responsibility.
“RTA has become the industry standard for content labeling,” Irvine added. “It is important that the adult industry remains diligent in labeling with RTA, and we are honored that Mickey volunteered to produce this video.”
Irvine said she plans to screen the PSA at the upcoming AVN Show. The AVN Show is a business-to-business trade event for the adult entertainment industry and scheduled to take place Aug. 5-8 at the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hollywood, Fla. AWE is offering free all-access badges, valued at $350 each. For information about how to claim a badge, visit AWEmpire.com/freebadge.
