ASACP to Participate in 2024 Bucharest Summit, Emphasizing Child Protection
LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) will play a role in the upcoming Bucharest Summit, marking its return to Romania. The event, held at the five-star Radisson Blu Hotel from June 4-6, 2024, unites the adult digital media and live cam communities, along with affiliates and fans.
The Bucharest Summit features a comprehensive conference schedule, numerous parties, and a prestigious awards show, positioning itself as a central hub for business conferences in Romania. Bucharest is recognized as one of the industry’s leading hotspots in Europe.
“Business is all about connections, whether you are a performer, a marketer, a salesperson, or a CEO,” said a spokesperson for the summit. “The Bucharest Summit brings together all players in the industry, including mainstream products, billing and service providers, suppliers, marketers, affiliates, and webmasters, covering all business areas.”
ASACP Executive Director Tim Henning expressed his enthusiasm for attending the European event. “Bucharest Summit attracts numerous players from the live cam and streaming market spaces, which, like other user-generated content sites, have unique child protection and compliance requirements that ASACP’s services can help with,” Henning said. “The ad networks, billing companies, production studios, and other businesses in attendance provide networking opportunities that enable the association to present its message of keeping children out of and away from adult-oriented materials, where it matters.”
ASACP leverages its presence at international events like the Bucharest Summit to educate industry stakeholders, benefit from sponsors’ guidance, and encourage continued support. This proactive approach has been instrumental in ASACP’s successes, such as providing free child protection resources, market-specific Best Practices, and a comprehensive Code of Ethics for app and age-restricted website publishers.
ASACP’s achievements include its CP Reporting Tipline, which has processed over 1.25 million reports, and its RTA (Restricted To Adults) meta-labeling system, which helps prevent children’s access to adult-oriented web pages and apps. “One of the association’s top goals while attending events is to encourage the universal adoption of our RTA technology,” Henning explained. “This tool makes a real improvement in the online safety of underage and other sensitive audiences, and being able to explain the details to top management and technical personnel is invaluable.”
Another goal for ASACP at the Bucharest Summit is to raise awareness of its exclusive Content Creator membership opportunity. “Bucharest is a perfect venue for this initiative, as it draws a broad international entourage of models and digital artists ready to take the next step as business professionals on their content creation journey,” Henning added.
ASACP’s Travel Sponsor, DialXS, has underwritten Henning’s admission, roundtrip airfare, and hotel accommodations in Bucharest, supporting the association’s international outreach efforts. “We are grateful to DialXS for enabling our global outreach,” Henning concluded. “Their support allows us to interact with international business owners, front-line operators, and other stakeholders effectively.”
