ASACP Ready for Latin America Adult Business Expo
LOS ANGELES, CA — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is pleased to announce its upcoming attendance at the Latin America Adult Business Expo (LALExpo).
Set for its fourth annual show, LALExpo runs from July 10-12 at the Cartagena de Indias Convention Center in Cartagena, Colombia, one of the largest and most impressive convention centers in all of Latin America. According to its promoters, LALExpo attracts a growing international and Latin-American audience of approximately 1,300 business professionals from companies representing all aspects of the online and adult business world. Because LALExpo is a business-to-business, education and trade event, the general public is not permitted to attend, but a diverse range of companies from the billing, mobile tech, ad network, affiliate sector and more will be in attendance.
This executive event is capped by the LALExpo Awards, honoring excellence across dozens of industry categories and market segments.
Anthony Rivera, an organizer of the event and co-founder of AJ Studios, says LALExpo provides a significant opportunity for ASACP to reach out to professional businesses operating in the Latin American and Spanish-speaking digital media markets.
“As a hub of the global camming community, Colombia is also making inroads into the broader digital media market. As such, LALExpo promotes excellence and responsibility among the companies that are making a living and supporting their families and themselves through technology,” Rivera states. “This is why we support ASACP and its mission to educate and professionalize the industry in the name of protecting children.”
As part of its efforts to protect children, LALExpo restricts attendance at its event to adult business professionals only.
In addition to promotion on the LALExpo.com website as well as in the show’s social media and industry forums, in the official show guide, on the show’s interview billboard, and through a complimentary table at the event’s Meet Market, allowing the association to reach out to adult business owners and operators face-to-face; LALExpo’s promoters have also very generously underwritten ASACP’s Executive Director Tim Henning’s event admission, hotel room, and roundtrip transportation to the venue city of Cartagena.
“LALExpo is really ramping up its professional profile for 2017, becoming ASACP’s newest In-Kind Media Sponsor and extending much-needed support to the association,” Henning states. “This is especially important when considering the cam-centric focus of the event, which targets Colombia’s vibrant live webcam industry.”
Henning explains that live camming is on the forefront of the need for online child protection to ensure that both fans and the performers themselves are of legal age.
“As an industry leader, LALExpo’s support of the association sends a very powerful message,” Henning adds. “Through their generosity, ASACP will reach a new audience of frontline operators, providing them with the education and free resources they need to keep children out of and away from adult-oriented materials, and in turn, helping to make the internet a safer place.”
ASACP uses the support it receives to fund initiatives such as its internationally recognized Child Exploitation Tipline, which has processed more than one million CP reports since its inception; and ASACP’s multiple award-winning Restricted To Adults (RTA) meta labeling system that helps prevent a minor’s access to adult-oriented web pages and mobile apps — while its market-specific Best Practices and a universal Code of Ethics help guide digital media companies towards child-safe operation and are also among ASACP’s tangible successes.
