Aryana Augustine: The Bama Bombshell Opens Up
By Erika Icon
YNOT – Aryana Augustine had performed in more than 100 girl-girl scenes, many of them not yet released by the time Brazzers offered the southern belle a lucrative five-scene deal if she’d agree to perform in boy-girl scenes. She jumped at the opportunity.
It didn’t take long for her to pick up the nickname “Bama Bombshell.” She wears the moniker well, combining exotic looks with a soft southern drawl and charm to spare, as YNOT discovered when we sat down for a chat.
YNOT.com: Tell us a little about yourself.
Aryana Augustine: I was born and raised in a small town in Alabama. Before I entered the adult industry, I was a manager and fitness instructor for America’s largest sports nutrition store. After doing that for a while, I started dancing — and I don’t mean ballet. I have danced all over, including Miami and Atlanta, where I was a feature dancer and the 2011 Miss Mardi Gras.
I currently live in Los Angeles, where I shoot girl-girl porn and just shot my first boy-girl scenes. I love hot-ass women, and I am so ready to see what kind of trouble I can get into. I’m always ready and willing to put on one hell of a show for my fans.
How did you go from feature dancer to porn star?
Honestly, I got bored dancing. I loved turning people on and seeing them completely horny as I danced naked in front of them, but I wanted more. I’m such a sexual person that I just craved more satisfaction. What better way [to accomplish that objective] than having sex with someone on camera for the whole world to see?
What made you decide to do boy-girl scenes?
For a long time, I knew porn is what I wanted to do. I always knew I would do boy-girl scenes, but being business-minded as I am, I knew the best way to make a long-lasting career was to start off slow and make everyone crave to see more. Girls who start off doing boy-girl [scenes] don’t get that option, and they also tend to burn out more quickly because everyone has already seen them do boy-girl from the start.
Many girls leave the biz after only a few months to a year. You seem to be in it for the long haul. Why?
The only direction for me to go is straight to the top and become one of the best performers out there. What sets me apart is that I’m not in this just for a paycheck. I’m in this business to succeed and be the best I can be.
Every move I make is planned well ahead of time and thought over in detail. I look at how my present actions will affect my future in porn. My name is my brand, and I want it to be very well known.
You have quite an unusual stage name. How did you come up with it?
One of my favorite places to go is St. Augustine, Fla. It’s the oldest city in the U.S., and it is so beautiful and exotic. I wanted a name that was unique and beautiful and exotic, so it came to me easily.
What do you do with your spare time?
I love the outdoors and working out, so usually you can find me hiking or doing something physical. I also [perform on live web]cam almost every night at MyFreeCams.com, and love interacting with my fans on there. The shows give them a chance to go private with me and to see me cum just for them. They love that.
What’s the craziest request you’ve received from a fan?
One of my fans wanted my toenail clippings. That was pretty crazy. I love to make my fans happy, but that was one I just couldn’t do. [She laughs.]
I heard you’re also a paranormal investigator. That’s different.
It includes a lot of creeping around supposedly haunted places and graveyards late at night guided only by the moonlight, all while lugging around an arsenal of tech equipment like thermal-imaging cams, night-vision cams, digital voice recorders and [electromagnetic frequency] meters. And then I spend unlimited hours deciphering all of the information using computer programs. But once you actually catch proof of ghostly phenomena, you’re hooked. It’s an adrenaline rush.
What do you miss most about the South now that you don’t live there?
Everything! Sweet tea on a hot summer day, cornbread and greens, and of course all the home-cooked meals my mom makes. Fishing on the river in summertime and getting up at 5 a.m. to go hunting in the wintertime. Seeing tractors in cotton fields as you drive up the road. And sunburned country boys who’ve been outside working hard all day.
