Army Soldier Discharged for Appearing on Military-Themed Gay Porn Site
FAYETTEVILLE, NC — A Fort Bragg army soldier is being discharged for admitting that he performed in a video on the military-themed gay porn site, ActiveDuty.com. The soldier was with the 1st Battalion of the 321st Field Artillery Regiment and the Army is not revealing his name.In this case, only one soldier from the unit was involved, said Col. Billy J. Buckner, a Fort Bragg spokesman to The Fayetteville Observer. The soldier is expected to be discharged this month.
“Once the issue surfaced, the soldier’s chain of command responded accordingly,” Buckner, said. “We take this issue seriously, and the soldier’s conduct does not reflect the values we adhere to in the Army.”
Fort Bragg officials said in a statement that allegations surfaced in June that a soldier was in what turned out to be a two-year-old video.
The Army has investigated soldiers’ participation in videos on Ashe’s site twice — once in 2000 and again in 2006.
Seven paratroopers of the 82nd Airborne Division were discharged in 2006 after they appeared on the site.
