APHSS to Incorporate TTS Results into Database
YNOT – Adult Production Health & Safety Services has reversed an earlier decision and now will include the results of health tests administered by Talent Testing Service Inc. in the APHSS database.
TTS remains a non-approved provider of testing services because the company does not meet the basic requirements APHSS established to ensure the health and safety of performers working in adult video productions. In addition, TTS has indicated it does not wish to become an APHSS-approved provider.
Pre-existing issues notwithstanding, APHSS and TTS have agreed that a comprehensive information source for performer health status is critical to support industry protocols, said Diane Duke, executive director of APHSS parent organization Free Speech Coalition.
The accord resulted after several weeks of discussion precipitated by an outspoken segment of the industry that prefers to use TTS’s facilities.
“The electronic transfer of TTS data into the APHSS database as a non-APHSS provider seemed like the best compromise for the good of the industry,” Duke said.
TTS President and Chief Executive Officer Sixto Pacheco added, “Although [TTS] will continue to provide results via our own web portal, providing accessibility in the APHSS database benefits the industry as a whole.”
APHSS and TTS representatives are coordinating the technical details for data compatibility. Neither side offered an estimate as to how soon the integration might be complete.
