Anton Fury to Present Photography Workshop
YNOT – Erotic photographer Anton Fury will present and eight-hour workshop March 31. Set to run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Fury’s studio in Wayne, NJ, the workshop will reveal tips and tricks Fury gleaned from a career that to date has encompassed working with more than 500 models and resulted in more than 200 magazine covers for publications including Gent, Busty Beauties, D-Cup and Cleavage.
The workshop “will consist of every step necessary, from the makeup chair to the high-end finished photograph,” he said. “You will learn how makeup differs from real life to photo set. I will give you tips on how to deal with models; to bring out the best in their performance before the camera. I will give details on how and why I light a set in a particular way.”
In addition, Fury plans to introduce participants to techniques that modify light — including umbrellas, beauty dishes, soft boxes, grids, reflectors and gels — and provide instruction about how, when and where to use the various modifications.
“You will be taken through two to three lighting setups, including light room, dark room and white seamless,” Fury noted. “After I light each set and walk you through a shoot, you will then, with my coaching, get to shoot the models yourself using my gear.”
Other topics to be covered during the workshop include manual camera operation and set design. Participants will be able to ask questions not only of Fury, but also of a professional makeup artist and two professional erotic models.
After the workshop, a two-hour dinner break will precede a four-hour practice session and after-party.
“The sets will still be lighted and the models will still be available to shoot into the night,” Fury said. “You can also have your partner come to the after-party, and you can shoot them on the set as well. You don’t have to stay around, but why would you not want to take advantage of shooting on a professional set?”
Participants will need a digital or traditional single-lens-reflex (SLR) camera.
“Although I will be shooting digital, you can still use a film camera,” Fury said. “Even if you don’t have an SLR, you can still attend the workshop to learn.”
Cost for the event is $199.99 per workshop participant, and enrollment is limited to 15 people. For more information, visit the workshop page at AntonFury.com.
