Anti-Porn Fury May Have Inspired Murder
CHICAGO, IL — Anti-porn activists insist that erotic imagery can be dangerous, toxic, even deadly. In the case of 54-year-old Jesse Martin, they might just be right.Actually, Martin never had any negative health implications as a result of his enjoyment of porn. The jealousy, insecurity, and violently poor impulse control of his now ex-live-in girlfriend, however, proved to be his final downfall.
According to the Sun Times, prosecutors contend that after 58-year-old Jeanette Strowder located Martin’s stash of sexy photo CDs, she went on a shooting spree that ended in her boyfriend’s death.
Facing first-degree murder charges, Strowder is accused of confronting Martin with the evidence of his sexual voyeurism and then emphasizing her discomfort with it by seizing a firearm and shooting her boyfriend “multiple times,” as Assistant State’s Attorney Tracy Stanker explains it.
Upon arrival of the appropriate legal representatives, a still distraught Strowder placed the barrel of her gun against her head before directing it at officers, who miraculously did not open fire. The woman later confessed to shooting Martin.
