MIAMI – Cuba’s best known adult export, Angelina Castro, plans to kick off her latest project with a little help from an unusual source: her grandmother.

Beginning at 2 p.m. ET Sunday, Castro’s grandmother will co-host a two-hour live event designed to test the mettle of prospective male performers. Castro plans to hand-pick, so to speak, potential scene partners from a collection of wannabes who responded to a Craigslist advertisement seeking new male talent.

“She is bringing her grandmother to the interviews and asking the guys to drop their drawers and get a hard on for her grandmother,” Vicky Vette, owner of the Vette Nation Army network to which Castro’s website belongs, told YNOT. “If they can do that, they get through to Round 2. It’s all in great fun.

“Angelina is hilarious, and her family is all involved in her career,” Vette added. “They told her she could do anything she wanted in life as long as she didn’t do drugs or break the law, so this is what she chose.”

The audition, designed to kick off a new reality series called Miami: Can You Get It Up?, has attracted significant attention from Spanish-language mainstream media, including Univision Radio and the Telemundo TV show al Rojo Vivo. Playboy Radio also interviewed Castro about the project.

“We decided one of best tests of new talent is to broadcast live,” Castro said. “If you can’t get it up with a bunch of people watching, there’s no way you can be in porn.

“Just like American Idol, we have a panel of judges selecting the next big thing,” she continued. “Our judges will be tougher than Simon Cowell. In porn you’ve got to have a thick skin.

“People love reality porn. This is going to be as real as it gets.”
