An Interview with James from WEJweb

WEJ was started in the late 90s and has evolved over the years, offering a variety of hosting and Web design services “in the blink of an eye.” “Eric, Teresa and I all take part in the creative process and the mechanics of the company,” he states.
YNOT: Greetings James. Please tell us about the hosting packages you offer.
WEJweb: We are looking into hosting pages as well as entire companies. We want to offer competitive rates on transfer and storage space without all the hidden crap that so often accompanies other packages out there. Our best offering right now is 88 cents per gig of transfer with 200 megs of storage. There is a 10 gig minimum, but for example if you use 15 gigs of transfer it will still only cost 88 cents per gig (great for TPG pages!) We can always customize a package for anyone’s needs as well.
YNOT: Can you give us some company background?
WEJweb: We as a company have been operating in the communications industry for several years, particularly in the inspection and maintenance of radio and cellular towers. We conduct many different types of inspections on them from height verifications to complete structural analysis of the tower. We suffered a lot from 9/11. Our industry changed instantly. We lost several large contracts because everybody developed a “wait and see” attitude and stopped expanding at the rate they had prior to that fateful day. We already had the equipment (servers and computers) in place, but we weren’t using it due to our company downsizing. Since we wanted to put all of this equipment to good use, we moved towards Web hosting.
YNOT: That’s very resourceful of you. So how has this changeover affected your daily operations?
WEJweb: We worked outdoors all the time before, which is great but when you’re always a few hundred feet above the ground it can get old, and as we are getting older, you know the body starts telling you in the morning via creaking and popping that you shouldn’t be doing that any more. The industry as a whole is getting crazy. Insurance rates go up and the bidding on projects is so competitive that there is serious underbidding taking place to the point that nobody can make a decent wage anymore.
YNOT: How has the move into the adult Internet been for you?
WEJweb: YNOTMASTERS has been a great resource and a huge help. I’ve asked several questions and received lots of useful advice. I’ve also learned to read the industry message boards every day. I think it is great to have the ability to ask advice from your predecessors and peers as many do in the adult Internet. You often can get your answers straight up without any BS.
YNOT: So I take it you are enjoying the changeover!
WEJweb: The adult industry is very exciting! I mean that not just because you get to work with pictures of some of the most beautiful women on the planet, but it’s also extremely lucrative and challenging for any individual or group that wants to apply themselves and get ahead.
YNOT: Any new stuff on the horizon for WEJweb?
WEJweb: We just launched shaggys69.com and have plans for three more sites in the next month. Shaggys69.com is sort of like an interactive TGP page. We want to have daily postings of amateur contributions along with a TGP section. There is an adult store and a place where you can purchase your favorite DVDs and videos for your collection at home.
YNOT: Well best of luck to you with WEJweb and all of your endeavors and thanks for your time this week James!
