Amy Fisher Sues Red Light District over Upcoming Sex Tape Release
NEW YORK CITY, NY — “Long Island Lolita” Mary Fisher has sued adult production company Red Light District in district court for punitive damages over the release of Amy Fisher Caught On Tape.Fisher’s claim to fame is being convicted of the 1992 shooting of the wife of her lover, Joey Buttafuoco, with whom she began an affair when she was 16 years old. Fisher served seven years in prison for aggravated assault and was released in 1999. Buttafuoco was also put behind bars for statutory tape for his relationship with Fisher. Fisher is author of a book about her experience with Buttafuoco, titled If I Knew Then. Fisher’s estranged husband and father to her two children, Lou Bellera, is reported to have sold the footage of Fisher to Red Light.
According to David Joseph, CEO of Red Light District, Fisher releases her inner porn star. “This is the best sex tape made by someone high profile,” says Joseph in a press statement prior to the suit being filed. “The quality is high, and it’s super graphic. It’s intensely hardcore for a mainstream audience.”
To the New York Post, Joseph commented on the suit, saying, “I made this deal with Lou Bellera, and I’m very confident we have everything legally done.”
The 60-minute production titled Amy Fisher: Caught On Tape shows Fisher and her ex-husband having sex in various rooms throughout their home. The two-disc DVD will be available in both domestic and international adult video stores beginning next week and also includes five bonus scenes from other Red Light District productions.
Amy Fisher: Caught on Tape will be available through distributors and on the Red Light District websites RLDV.com, and AmyFisherCaughtOnTape.com.
