AMTC Reopens for FSC-PASS Tests
CANOGA PARK, Calif. – After a change in ownership, AMTC Testing Services, a nationwide network of health-testing centers serving the adult entertainment industry, has rejoined the Performer Availability Screening Services program.
The network had been on hiatus following the unexpected death of its former owner.
“Dealing with AMTC has always been great, so we’re glad to have them back on board,” said Diane Duke, chief executive officer for adult industry trade association Free Speech Coalition, which operates the PASS system. “More importantly, we’re happy to offer the performers more choice for their testing. AMTC was one of the labs that really helped us develop our system in the beginning, and we hope they’ll be around for a long time to come.”
FSC-PASS, a nonprofit performer welfare organization and health watchdog, maintains a confidential database of test results provided by approved facilities, helps studios determine which performers are available to shoot explicit scenes and serves as an industry-wide notification system during outbreaks of sexually transmitted infections. The system also promotes rigorous industry best practices for health testing and defines medical and safety protocols for participating testing facilities.
AMTC operates in the adult industry as SameDayTest, allowing performers to connect with the nearest of the network’s more than 4,000 licensed clinics and draw stations. Test results normally are returned within one to five business days.
