American Xcess Signs Global Co-Distribution Agreement with Content Junky
AMSTERDAM – Rotterdam-based XCast Entertainment announced this week that its American branch, American Xcess, has signed global co-distribution agreement with Content Junky, the “world’s largest multi-platform content licensing and delivery company,” according to a press release.“We are delighted with our new affiliation to American Xcess,” said Tim Cooper, president of Content Junky. “The strength and depth of their producers is rare today; most studios have only one genre but American Xcess covers a broad spectrum.”
According to the press release, “Content Junky’s licensing and distribution platforms include: worldwide Internet rights for downloadable videos, images and DVDs; exclusive Asian cell phone distribution including satellite DMB, cable broadcasting; iPod delivery with patent pending technology, IPTV with well over 30 million subscribers and growing; and print media content for catalog companies, newspapers, magazines publications and ad agencies around the world.”
General manager of American Xcess, Harry Jose, was also pleased with the deal, which he said “really puts (us) at the forefront of International sales of high quality erotica.”
For those unfamiliar with Xcast Entertainment, the company “specializes in international DVD distribution and trading adult entertainment movie rights,” the press release explains, adding that the company “acquires rights to English and continental European productions for the American market and makes this market accessible to the owners of movie rights.”
Content Junky’s Cooper says his company is “confident that there will be a significant demand for their (American Xcess) material from a variety of media platforms, especially in Asia where we have long-established relationships in mobile, 3G and iPod marketing,” according to the press release.
According to the press release, the Xcast content has already been uploaded the Content Junky website at www.contentjunky.com, where “interested parties can see the variety and quality of material available.”
