Amberly Rothfield Interviewed by Reason Mag & Guests on Being There
Best-selling author, sexpert/educator, phone sex operator, dominatrix, and marketing extraordinaire Amberly Rothfield was recently interviewed by Reason, the nation’s leading libertarian magazine, and she’s also the latest guest on the Being There podcast.
Reason writer Elizabeth Nolan Brown’s compelling piece “What the Porn Industry Thinks of the New War on Porn,” asks adult stars what they’re really worried about. Hint, it isn’t the GOP attack on Internet smut. John Stagliano, Maitland Ward, attorney D. Gill Sperlein, and others discuss the real threats of A.B.5 and the gig economy, as well as FOSTA/SESTA and decriminalizing sex work. Amberly discusses the focus on marijuana legalization and the need for politicians to show they’re strong on other issues, which is causing the anti-porn sentiment to become louder. She also talks about exceptions being written for cam performers regarding A.B.5., and how more sex workers (current and previous) need to show their numbers and make politicians aware. “It was incredible to be interviewed by Reason, and the piece really came out well—it’s interesting to see what the industry thinks are the real issues we face and the fact we all pretty much agree on them,” says Amberly Rothfield. “I’m a huge fan of Reason and was honored to be featured in this amazing piece!”
