Amberly Rothfield Featured In Rolling Stone
Award-winning author and industry consultant Amberly Rothfield likes to keep an eye on social media platforms to test if their algorithms are changing. Rothfield has been tracking thousands of Twitter account and has seen an increase in the number of accounts being deleted and suspended.
Rothfield’s insight is joined with Cory Silverstein, Goddess Aviva, Fan Centro’s Kat Revenga, and Fetish Con’s Genesis Lynn in a recent Rolling Stone article authored by EJ Dickson where they recounted concern over Twitter’s actions and the frustration that it has caused. It isn’t only individual models who are having problems. The Twitter accounts for Fetish Con, Clips4Sale and Model Centro have also had issues without warning.
“It looks like these accounts being deleted or suspended is part of a larger trend. It isn’t just happening in our industry, but it does disproportionately harm models who rely on Twitter for marketing themselves.” Rothfield said.
