Amberly Rothfield, Angry Pony Seek Sex Workers’ Stories for New Book
Model, phone sex operator and published author Amberly Rothfield is teaming up with photographer David Corey (Angry Pony Photography) on a new book designed to help the often-marginalized voices of sex workers be heard, the duo announced today.
Rothfield and Corey are now accepting story submissions and will continue to accept them through December 15, 2019. According to the statement announcing the project, “topics can range from work, interpersonal relationships, mental health or anything that has been impacted by your chosen occupation.”
Rothfield said the book is intended to be “a literary hug from sex workers to sex workers,” one she hopes will “help anyone who is curious about our little world get insight directly from those involved.”
“Working in this industry has done a lot for me, but I know how lonely it can feel sometimes,” Rothfield said. “I really hope these pieces allows us all to feel more connected to each other. I am really proud that we can help get voices of those who haven’t had the platform that I have been so graced with these past two years.”
Rothfield said it has been Corey’s “passion for helping all marginalized voices to be heard that’s driving the project, adding that it was his idea to donate all proceeds to Pineapple Support, The Cupcake Girls and SWOP USA.
