Allison Moore: Fulfilling Her Own Fantasies
By Peter Berton
LOS ANGELES – First things first: Allison Moore is not a Kardashian, but she does play one of the drama magnets on film. Moore portrays Khloe Kardashian in Risque Films’ Keeping Up with Kiara Mia, a XXX parody of E! network’s reality TV series Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
Moore’s turn with Lexington Steele, who plays Lamar Odom in the flick, represented her first interracial scene. The over-the-top action grabbed lots of attention in both adult and mainstream press, but as YNOT discovered when we sat down with the busty redhead, there is much more to Moore than immediately meets the eye.
YNOT.com: What motivated you to get into adult entertainment?
Allison Moore: I thought it would be a fun way to explore my sexuality and fantasies. Plus, the pay isn’t bad, either. So let’s see, fantasies fulfilled and getting paid for them? Done deal!
I’ve been in adult for three years. I’m in school full-time pursuing a degree in psychology. When I’m not working or in school, I love to cook and bake. I also love outdoor activities like camping, hiking and rock climbing. I’m an animal lover, and I have two dogs: Jax, an Australian Shepherd, and Delilah, a Mini Schnauzer. I also have three bunnies.
In contrast to some other adult performers, you have a natural girl-next-door look. Are you just being you, or was that a conscious marketing decision?
Thank you. No, it’s just me being myself. I am always like this, unless I’m acting a part in a parody or feature.
What are your most- and least-favorite kinds of scenes?
I love doing parodies, because I get to portray someone else. In general, they’re just fun.
My least favorite scenes are the ones I don’t [hired to perform in]. I like to work as much as possible and feel there are some roles I should get that go to other girls.
You do bear a resemblance to Khloe Kardashian. Has that paid off?
I have no clue. I didn’t even think I looked like her, because I’m really fair-skinned. But with a spray tan, make up and a little attitude, it worked out.
I never really get recognized anywhere. The only time [I was recognized as a performer] was by a plumber in my own house.
Of what achievements are you most proud?
Having a reputation for being career-minded and goal-oriented, both in and out of the adult industry. Most importantly, I’m proud of my family.
When you are on camera, what is going through your head? Are you into the scene, focused on acting, focused on turning on the viewer…?
I think about all of those things. That’s why they call me a professional, because I can focus on more than one thing going on around me, as well as what’s going on in my own mind.
I get into the scenes but I don’t forget the camera is there, and I keep myself opened up so it’s not too hard for the male talent or the videographer. And of course, when I’m playing a character — even during the sex — I stay in character and I imagine how [the character] would enjoy it.
What makes for a truly great porn performance?
Being professional and finding something you like about the performer with whom you’re working really helps. Getting into the other performer and the scene is also essential to a great performance. And, being comfortable with the other people who also are involved with the production is extremely important.
What are your goals? Do you intend to stay in the business, or do you plan to venture into other areas once you’ve made a name for yourself?
I want to finish school and earn a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and then possibly move on to a master’s degree.
As for my career in adult, it’s still in the works. I really like being a guest on radio shows, so I think it would be fun to host my own radio show. I also would like to direct one day, because I have a lot of ideas for adult movies.
What do few people know about you?
I’m a true redhead, but most people think I’m not.
