Alexandra Snow Talks OnlyFans pros and cons, Taxes, Male Nudes, and More on “And Now We Drink”
Alexandra Snow, the “Modern Succubus,” has been working for over 15 years as a domina, who prides herself on her unique take on her craft. She also has experience as an actress, producer, and an activist. She operates her own business and enjoys sharing her experience and knowledge with her fellow sex workers.
Recently, Alexandra starred on the latest episode of Matt Slayer’s podcast “And Now We Drink.” They begin by talking about the woes of running your own business, the unique struggles faced by sex workers when facing against the IRS, Zuckerburg’s android asshole, and her lack of surprise at OnlyFans’ recent scandal;
“The sky is always falling in sex work” Alexandra said, “there’s always some new chaos to ruin the year”
Alexandra also touched on some of the effects of OnlyFans’ contribution to the explosive growth of sex work: “I think that it really has done a lot for women to see that there is a huge variety of body types and like shapes and sizes and that vaginas all look different… I think that it helps a lot for the average woman’s self confidence.”
From there, the conversation went to the two’s experience at overpriced and underpaying nightclubs, mixing personal and professional relationships, and Alexandra’s own efforts to give back to the sex worker community through her online Erotic Entrepreneurs Conference coming next March: “No clients, no fans, none of that, literally just learn how to make more money, own your business, become the person you’ve always wanted to be and be supported by your peers.”
Alexandra added that “We’ve needed this for so long, people get thrown into the deep end… And you kinda have to become this one woman show.” Alexandra also notes the need for sex workers to be authentic: “It’s the same as any other type of content creator… you gotta find your lane, if you’re pretending to be someone else then you’re gonna have to compete with their audience.”
From there, Matt recruits Alex to become George R.R. Martin’s Dominatrix, laments Joss Wedon’s wrongdoing, and discusses separating the art from the artist. “It doesn’t mean that I can’t still like the stories and enjoy the creative works of all the people who worked on it,” Alexandra said.
Later in the episode, Matt preaches the good word of Nihilist Arby’s, Alexandra grieves the loss of her 5-gallon drum of Cheetos, the two ponders the possibility for a sex version of Hot Ones, and they get into the nitty-gritty of dick pics and nudes. “A solo picture of a penis never looks great” Alexandra said, “stop taking pictures of your disembodied penis and take more pictures of just you.” Following Matt’s refusal to post more nudes, Alexandra continued, “I genuinely like good classy nudes of men, I think that it celebrates a different side of men that we don’t get to see often”
