Post-piracy Scam, Afrocandy Now Verified on Xvideos
US-based Nigerian performer Afrocandy is now verified on Xvideos. This verification comes after months of being scammed by someone who uploaded her content to the site for free.
According to reporting from Vanguardngr.com, Afrocandy said: “Over the years people have been stealing videos from my website ‘Afrocanetwork’ and posting on porn sites. That made me shut down my VIP subscription on my site.”
She added, “But last year I opened an only-fans page where I post my exclusive videos that I never post any other places. Then some members leaked the videos just two weeks ago, posting them on Xvideos and other porn sites.”
This prompted the performer to take action.
“Because of that I decided to join Xvideos by claiming my account. Now, they have verified me and I got most of those videos removed and I posted from my own account. Though I post teasers for everyone but the full videos will be for paying members, Xvideos Red and I will do that with pornhub and others too,” Afrocandy said via Vanguardngr.
Originally discovered King George Models, Afrocandy began her career in modeling and commercials in the early ‘00s. In 2004, she made her film debut in the Obi Obinali-directed film, Dangerous Sisters. She has also starred in Destructive Instinct, How Did I Get Here and Ordeal in Paradise, among other titles. Afrocandy moved to the US in 2005.
In previous interviews, Afrocandy had denied being a porn performer and challenged anyone to come up with any porn movie she had done, saying the controversial film Destructive Instinct was not adult content.
“I don’t do porn movies, though our people call it porn movie but it’s not, it’s just a regular movie and if you watch the whole film, you will realize that it also has a storyline,” she had said previously via Vanguardngr.
In 2017, however, the performer revealed that she had worked in a scene with Mandingo.
Porn or not, US or Nigeria, we commend Afrocandy for taking control of her content. Consumers now have a verified space to access her work, which is good for everyone involved.
