Affiliate Program Moves from Tubes to Pay Sites
TORONTO – Citing “a major resurgence in consumer confidence,” a decade-old affiliate program has launched a new flagship website that elevates the pay-site model while placing less emphasis on tubes.
Pimproll launched Wankz.com, its new flagship, after noticing what Vice President Phil B. characterized as an uptick in consumers’ willingness to pay for porn.
“There is clearly a major resurgence in consumer confidence, and we are seeing a sharp rise in the number of consumers interested in paying for top-quality adult entertainment,” Phil B said. “The Wankz.com brand provides a premium user experience with many modern improvements over the kind of tube content available elsewhere for free, and fans are already demonstrating a very strong willingness to sign up.”
In some quarters, adult content is considered a product with a short shelf life, going “stale” as fashions and personal tastes change. A more generally accepted reason for declining revenues in recent years is the pace at which technology has changed, driving consumers toward newer channels and devices faster than the adult entertainment industry could change. According to Phil B, the “4K-resolution revolution” is key to recapturing paying customers, and Wankz was built to cater to that demand.
“Wankz.com utilizes a freemium-style, transparent tour that lets prospective customers get a good feel for what exactly is inside, with premium versions of all the new, exclusive videos available for members at an eye-popping 4K, 60 [frames per second] resolution that definitely drives conversions,” he said. “Our new, exclusive 4K scenes are added every three days along a rotating schedule from each of the premium sites included in the network, providing a great deal of interest in the Wankz.com brand. This is further supplemented by 65,000-plus videos along with more than 3,000 exclusive scenes that can easily be viewed or downloaded by members.”
Wankz also incorporates the Pimproll’s PaidPerView.com channels to boost the amount of content members can enjoy while increasing the revenue paid to content partners on a per-view basis, Phil B said. Meanwhile, the Wankz TV section offers films and parody titles created and released on a once-per-month schedule.
The site is mobile-friendly, multilingual and offers an easy-to-use navigation system.
Pimproll pays affiliates a 65-percent recurring revenue share or as much as $50 per sign-up.
