AEE, Day 2: Bring on the Fans
By Erika Icon
YNOT – The second day of AVN’s Adult Entertainment Expo open the floodgates to fans. The Joint and Muse Hall inside Las Vegas’ Hard Rock Hotel & Casino were wall-to-wall people, and 80 percent of them were fans looking to meet their favorite porn stars. Moving around quickly became both difficult and frustrating, especially with The Joint set up like an amusement park. Turnstiles and traffic-control blockades probably seemed like a better idea before they were put into practice.
Verified Call hosted a number of female performers in its booth, including Tanya Tate, Charity Bangs, Sheena Ryder and Alex Chance. The ladies signed photos, sold DVDs and were available to chat at length with their admirers.
The booth operated by Two in the Shirt booth was spicy hot, adding Latin heat in the form of Nina Mercedez, Nikki Delano and Alexis Amore. All three signed their branded T.I.T.S. T-shirts and posed for photos with fans who waded through long lines.
Ron Jeremy, Sunny Lane and Nikki Delano headlined the HotMovies booth. Fans were treated to free minutes of video-on-demand viewing time, signed photos from the stars and lube.
Patrick Spinella, host of Brewin’ After Dark and head writer for Tattle.xxx, paraded around looking for signatures to add to his larger-than-life inflatable monkey. Tattle’s logo incorporates three monkeys.
Canadian media Console Creatures and Peace Magazine partnered to host a penthouse soiree on the third floor of the Hard Rock’s casino tower. Guests — including performers Mia Gold and Britney Amber, as well as webmaster Tater from the online publication Porn Life Magazine — were treated to swag, snacks and an impromptu session with Mario Brothers on Nintendo’s Wii gaming system.
With two more days and even more stars arriving in Vegas in anticipation of the AVN Awards on Saturday night, Porn Valley must be nearly empty.
