AdXpansion Taps New Marketing Coordinator
YNOT – AdXpansion has hired Les Parsons to fill the position of marketing coordinator for the global targeted advertising company.
A former art director, Parsons possesses more than 15 years’ relevant experience. Previously, he led creative campaigns for marketing departments in both the cloud computing and casual gaming sectors.
In his new position, Parsons will assist AdXpansion Vice-President Nigel Williams in the development of new marketing collateral. He also will manage the day-to-day functions of the marketing department.
“I enjoy picking up new skills,” Parsons said. “I’ve always worked closely with corporate marketing, and I look forward to learning about the technical side of tracking and optimizing ad campaigns from industry experts.”
In addition to his marketing history, Parsons also has accrued diverse experience in sales, customer service and design. He recently designed the branding for the beta-launch of a Montreal-based social networking start-up that went on to become a TechCrunch50 awards finalist.
“Mr. Parsons has certificates in everything from computer programming and cartooning to personal training and Japanese conversation,” Williams joked. “We’ll give him plenty more to learn about here at AdXpansion.”
He continued on a more serious note: “Once he translates his creative talents to our needs, I’ll be able to devote even more time to new project development. That will help grow our business and ultimately improve the experience of our client companies.”
Since its launch in late 2009, AdXpansion has built a brand by providing features like keyword targeting, a first-to-market in-player advertising solution and an XML feed for text ads with images. The company recently launched an optimization tool that offers advertisers greater control over their ad spending.
