Inspired by Casey Kisses Adult Time Set to Release “Casey: A True Story”
MONTREAL – Regardless of the genre or the medium through which they’re delivered, the most compelling and authentic stories are often those rooted in real life. Such is the case with Casey: A True Story, the upcoming release from Adult Time based on the true story of award-winning adult performer Casey Kisses.
Adult Time describes the film as an “emotional and uplifting look at one trans woman’s journey to become herself in the most unlikely of places.” The film depicts Cameron, a “small-town drifter who aspires to join the local biker club.”
A loyal member, Cameron quickly rises through the ranks of the club to ride alongside its President — but Cameron has a secret. What starts out as sexual curiosity leads to the realization that the young biker is not who she seems. What follows is a ‘coming of identity’ story that “shines an important light on the unique experience of transitioning and why sharing real stories is a first step towards overcoming real stigmas,” Adult Time said in a statement announcing the upcoming release of the film.
The project stems from a conversation Joanna Angel had with Casey after the two worked together for the first time, around two years ago.
““It was for a scene shot in San Francisco and our flight home was delayed for a few hours,” Angel explained. “While stuck at the airport, she made some calls to someone who was working on her motorcycle and that led to a conversation about her love for riding and her brief history in a motorcycle club before her transition. I tried to not ask too many questions and seem annoying, but I was completely fascinated by the few details she told me about her story on that flight home.”
Angel said that every time she’d see Casey after that, she would “ask a few more questions and hear more and more fragments of her history,” adding that there was “just so much to it.”
“At this point in my life, I’d really thought I’d heard it all,” Angel said, “but this was unlike anything I’d ever heard.”
Angel describes the film as “a love letter to porn – and a love letter to motorcycle riding.”
“It’s a story of loyalty, confusion and heartbreak, but with a happy ending,” Angel added. “Writing this script and doing this story justice was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, and I am so incredibly proud and thankful for the entire cast and crew and their dedication and appreciation of the project.”
The last five years have been a meteoric rise for Kisses, who got her start as an adult performer in 2016, at the age of 27. Within two years, she had received her first two major adult award nominations, which have been followed by many more since then. She has now performed in over 200 productions in total – stories that will now include her own, not only starring Casey, but co-written by her, as well.
The official release of Casey: A True Story is coming on Tuesday, September 7.
