Adult Social Aggregator to Re-brand, Re-launch
LAS VEGAS – On Feb. 20, adult social media aggregator Naughty Tweet Network will celebrate the fifth anniversary of its original product by launching a new online flagship intended to tie all of its brands together under a new corporate identity.
Star.xxx will encompass PornstarTweet.com and nine other Twitter-based promotional avenues into what founder and Chief Executive Officer Pete Housley characterized as an extensible, all-encompassing social-media platform.
“For the past few years, we’ve been considering our long-term viability as a brand,” Housley said. “When we launched Porn Star Tweet, it was 100-percent focused on Twitter, and over the years we’ve come to embrace other platforms, so for some time we’ve been looking to move away from the word ‘tweet.’ As we researched options to freshen and expand our brand, two concepts kept coming up — Star and XXX. The leap from there wasn’t difficult, and Star.xxx was born.”
Star.xxx will represent more than a name change, Housley indicated.
“The entire product is being developed from scratch and will include a slew of new features that have been in development for more than a year,” he said. “Star.xxx will maintain a strong focus on social media, but in a new, re-imagined format that integrates and leverages search engines and social media in new ways. The [site] will also be integrated with adult entertainment platforms, news sites and other sources to offer a single source for individual talent in addition to genre-focused advertising and sponsorship opportunities.”
Housley said the Naughty Tweet Network — which includes the e-zine Tattle.xxx, acquired in 2013 — enjoys more than 750,000 active Twitter followers and receives more than 100 million monthly impressions.
“We’re tremendously excited about the opportunities Star.xxx will offer fans, stars and sponsors,” he said. “We will launch with some amazing basic features and add new functionality over the next few years. We’re confident that Star.xxx is a brand that will be much more recognizable to the industry as well as the mainstream.”
