PATTAYA, Thailand – Woodhull Freedom Foundation President and CEO Ricci Levy is this week’s guest on Adult Site Broker Talk, the podcast announced today.

A longtime activist and advocate for sexual freedom, Ricci was part of founding Woodhull in 2003, and has led the organization ever since, first as its Executive Director, then as President and CEO. Woodhull is a nonpartisan, nonprofit human rights organization dedicated to defending the personal autonomy of all individuals.

In the announcement, the podcast noted that since its launch, Woodhull has “advocated for sexual freedom as a fundamental human right, worthy of its place alongside hard-fought liberties, including freedom of expression, the right to family, and the right to privacy.”

Over the years, Ricci has traveled the country, offering testimony before legislative bodies and speaking at conferences “often presenting contentious issues in a way that allows for collaborative dialog to build bridges and foster alliances,” the announcement observed.

“Whether focused on censorship, the decriminalization of sex work, the shackling of incarcerated women in labor, or the right to family and reproductive justice, you can find Ricci at the forefront, bringing human rights to the conversation,” Adult Site Broker Talk added in the announcement. “The Woodhull Freedom Foundation works to change laws, policies, and practices across a range of issues that have one thing in common: They deny or threaten our fundamental human right to sexual freedom. Woodhull was instrumental in the inclusion of domestic partner benefits as a component of same-sex marriage—a detail at risk in the original legislation.”

Woodhull also played a key role in the termination of “Prostitution Free Zones” in Washington, DC, and testified and lobbied to end the practice of shackling incarcerated women during labor and childbirth in Florida prisons. Woodhull also successfully lobbied to change laws regarding sexting between minors. Woodhull also was the lead plaintiff in Woodhull Freedom Foundation v. U.S., a challenge to FOSTA/SESTA.
