New on Adult Site Broker Talk: Elite Provider Amy Taylor
PATTAYA, Thailand – Elite provider Amy Taylor is this week’s guest on the Adult Site Broker Talk podcast, the show announced today.
Born in New England and raised in California, Amy’s path to her multifaceted career has taken some interesting and unexpected turns. She began modeling as a teenager and continued to model through her time in college. She first encountered the world of sex work while an undergraduate at UC Berkeley. While working as an underpaid biotech employee after graduation, Amy began exploring the sugar baby lifestyle.
Amy then moved to Los Angeles to pursue an MBA. It was in Los Angeles where she first began to explore escorting as a side hustle. After finishing graduate school, she began a full-time job in the petroleum industry, continuing to juggle that work while offering part-time companionship for a few close clients.
Amy’s path met with some difficulties when she was outed as a sex worker by a pimp attempting to control her career. She took legal action to remedy the situation, but still faced intense social stigma over her escorting and companionship work.
“With resilience, she turned her love of aviation into a part-time job, all while continuing her work as a companion and model,” Adult Site Broker Talk noted in promoting Amy’s appearance on the show. “Now residing in New York City, Amy maintains connections with a few loyal friends, takes on modeling projects when they appeal to her, flies planes part-time, and embraces life alongside her friends, family, and beloved dog. It’s been quite a journey, and Amy has emerged stronger, embodying resilience every step of the way.”
Asked to define the difference between escorting, companionship and other forms of sex work, Amy said while the different occupations share similarities, there are fundamental differences, as well.
“In addition to all the modeling and the flying planes and the hyphenated career I’ve had, I have been a high-end companion, which is under the umbrella of sex work,” Amy said. “For fans who may or may not know, ‘sex work’ was a legally coined term to try to give us a little bit more rights and respect. And sex work embraces a lot of people in a lot of different things. And my little sliver of it, I see escorting and companionship as a sort of distinct, slightly different focus and approach from other forms of sex work. And by other forms, I mean things like porn or webcam work or phone sex.”
Amy added that while all these vocations “are sort of monetizing attention, affection, sexiness,” the distinctions “come down to the nature of the interaction.”
“The service focus, the level of personal interaction involved either in the flesh or online or on the phone if we’re going back to phone sex,” Amy explained. “And in my experience, what makes high-end companionship what I have done unique is that it’s pretty multidimensional. Every interaction was bespoke. It was about creating an entire experience between me and my client.”
“It was great to have Amy back on the podcast,” said Bruce the adult site broker, host of the podcast and CEO of Adult Site Broker. “She is always up to date on all of the issues impacting sex workers and is an amazing advocate for our industry.”
